Camera Critters

I could not get close enough without alarming them to get a really good picture but they are busy building their nest in the front entrance.

Lucky you! I love Stellar's Jays - so intelligent and such personality. I haven't since one in my neighborhood in far too long.

So sorry to read about your diabetes diagnosis. It runs in my family, and my blood sugars weren't quite normal during my last pregnancy so I've been warned by my doctor to stay in shape and eat healthy. I guess sometimes it doesn't matter how careful you are.

I think the picture clearly shows a need for privacy. :)

You were lucky to get that close. We have a nest outside our front door and whenever we try to go out to look, whatever bird is sitting there always flies away...

Ah … how fun to observe the nesting and rearing of young birds! I could use some ‘gopher’ advice if you (or others) have any … but the main event in my Camera Critters this week (at Small Reflections) is Molly meeting a ‘look-alike’ last weekend … named Molly!
Hugs and blessings,

I've always wanted birds to nest on my house. When I moved here, phoebes had nested over the light over the back door. I wonder if seven kitties prowling about stopped that?
