Photohunt - Time

This was my mother's watch it must be 70 years old now. I have never been able to get a strap to go with it. It used to have a velvet ribbon strap at one time.

Wow... does it still keep time? They just don't make stuff that lasts anymore..

That is really great.

You know, I bet you could find a jewelry artist who would create some straps for you. I used to create watch bands for faces like that. http://www.etsy.com has a system where you can request items be created and artists bid on your request.

Anyhoo...I love the way they made things way back when. :)

That's a super vintage watch. My mom has a Disney Cinderella watch from when she was just a tiny toy... I think it's super to have such treasures!

That is a beautiful watch. It's a shame you can't find a strap for it, and yet maybe for the better. I used to wear Grandmother's pen around my neck... until the day it fell off as I was leaning over the toilet flushing. Pen was gone faster than you could... well, it was gone real quick. And I was very sad.

Anyway, come on over and check out my post today. You may also be interested in the other Photo Challenge I am taking part in.

Oh wow, I have a watch that looks very similar to that... it was my great grandmothers! (it's not on my post though... but that would have been a good idea!)
