Nice to get a pat on the back from our neighbour for a change

The expected new U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Jacobson has positive things to say about Canada and that is good to hear for a change.
Jacobson gave a long list of areas of critical importance to the U.S., noting that contrary to the beliefs of many Americans, Canada is the country's biggest energy supplier. He also praised Canada's efforts in Afghanistan, calling the deaths of 127 Canadian soldiers in the war "an amazing commitment."
Jacobson also spoke about the ability of Canada's banks to weather the global economic crisis better than their American counterparts because of more conservative lending practices, adding "perhaps it's something we can learn from.

Wish President Obama would say a positive thing about our country. He just wants to change everything. Most don't want his kind of change.

Hubby and I just watched a video about a train trip across Canada. Canadians are good neighbors and there are some things we could learn from our neighbor to the north.

It seems a US Ambassador it Canada actually did some homework.

I still get mad when I remember how Celucci said Canada was not a good friend to the US because we would not join in the Iraq War.
How I would have liked to have grabbed him by the throat and given him a good shake and ask him what kind of a friend asks a friend to join in on a criminal enterprise. Those kind of friends we can do without. Arrogant bastard!

The next ambassador from South Carolina new nothing about Canada.
